The Treble Chance was a public house in the Pipps Hill area of Basildon.

The split level pub, designed in a Spanish Colonial style, was built as part of the larger Aquatels recreation project created by businessman Reg Treble whose surname forms part of the pubs' name.

It was officially opened in January 1973 being part of the larger Pipps Hill Country Club complex.

It became a popular venue for live entertainment and in the 1980s band nights known as the 'Onion Club' were established. Sunday evening 'chicken in a basket' events with live entertainment were another feature during that period.

Philip and Olive Woodger were the first publicans to take charge.

It closed in the late 1990s following the opening of the Festival Leisure Park and the whole site including the country club was demolished.

The Quays public house opened in 1999 now covers the site of the former pub.
