Development Corporation road numbers used in the planning of Basildon new town.
During the creation of Basildon the development corporation's
engineering department when preparing the eventual layout gave all major and some minor roads a number. This applied to both new and existing roads within the designated area. This began in the 1950s and continued into
the 1980s when the corporation was finally wound up.
The list below is incomplete and considered a 'work in progress'.
