The units at Honywood Road, which serve the Nevendon Industrial Estate No.1, were under
construction from 1959 and completed during 1960. It was called the Multicility Centre and other local amenities included a petrol filling station, also in
Honywood Road, opened in October 1960, and the Van Gogh public house in Paycocke Road, opened in 1962.
