Other points of interest:

1) Wharf Lane, as its name suggests, once led directly to Vange Wharf situated off Pitsea Creek and navigable for approximately 1 hour twice a day. The properties of Ryedene (built late 1970s), Ryedene County Primary School (opened 1979) and the realigned A13 Vange and Pitsea bypass (completed in 1973) now cover the former road and the land where its properties once stood.
